Fantastic Fundraising at the Lakeside Caravan Owners Club Charity Event

November 16, 2018

On Saturday 3rd November the Lakeside Owners Club led by 'The Naughty Tables' and their friends organised a fund raising event for the Friends of the Hospital.  Four of us bought tickets and went along to offer our support too.

The club is a typical Family mixture Mums and Dads, Children and Grandparents and friends. The decision to raise money for the Friends was taken because several members of the group had used the MIU at Burnham Hospital and had received excellent care.

The evening included food, a Father Christmas visit for the children, (I was rumbled, too old, he reckoned!) followed by a disco and live entertainment.

At the end of the evening they had raised the staggering amount of £910.00.  Further, we won a Breville Sandwich Toaster in the Raffle and as we already had one we decided to put it back into the Friends Tombola Stock.  One of the members from South Wales won a Nespresso Coffee Machine.  He walked across to us and said, I already have one of these, they are great but I do not need two so perhaps you could use it as a prize in the future.  We now have two tombola prizes moving forward.  If you need one of these items you had better come along to our next event which is our Fly the Flag (wear red, white and blue) Evening at the Oaktree on Saturday 30th March next year with music from Lipinski.

Our picture shows Mark and Elly Stanton together with two other members of the Caravan Family handing the cheque over to me.

The members of the 'Naughty Tables' helping with the event included Simon and Natasha Bethell, Mark and Liz Robbins, Andy and Alison Huntley, Charmaine Cole and Neil Price, Gillian and Gary Hogben together with Sharon Lawrence and Matthew Tyrrell.
