For the second time, Mark Stanton from the Lakeside Owners Club organised another wonderful evening in aid of the Friends of Burnham Hospital Charity. Mark put a huge effort into making the arrangements and managed to provide some wonderful raffle prizes, including a TV.
Committee member Chris Bettenson, who represented The Friends along with his wife Sandie and Friends Volunteers Kim and Clive Shepherdly said "Everyone there was fully supportive of our work and deeply appreciative of the services provided by the Hospital".
The Ritz Social Club's Paul Hale was the MC for the evening keeping everyone extremely entertained and he also provided additional prizes including a weekend away for one lucky couple who were celebrating their 56th anniversary.
To make it even more special an extra game of bingo was completed where Paul managed to win £55 that he immediately donated to the Friends.
Towards the end of the evening The Friends representatives were presented with a cheque for £750 and by the end of the evening a further £50 in cash was added bringing the total to £855. What a result!
The Friends would like to extend a huge thank you to Mark and all the Lakeside Owners and Paul Hale (inc Ritz Staff) for their efforts and generosity on the evening. It will make such a difference to the patients and staff. Well done all!
