On Saturday 16th October as Chairman I attended a Charity Night at the Ritz in aid of Friends of Burnham Hospital with the knowledge that I would be presented with a cheque at the end of the night.
Wanting a bit of background I received the following information from - Elly and Mark Stanton who first came up with the idea, they stated that all those who attended, contributed to and organised the evening are related only in the fact that they are or have been caravan owners in Burnham. Wanting to do something as a group for the local area they decided to hold a charity event for the first time in 2018. Burnham hospital was chosen because most of them at one time or another have had cause to call upon the hospital services during the years.
In 2019 they changed location for the event to the Ritz Social club they stated “as you undoubtedly saw on Saturday night Paul Hale deserves our thanks for making it a special night. We have had nothing but total support from him and the club as a whole”.
The two lads who entertained us on Saturday are called Fast Company and are a popular choice with us having also turned out in 2018. They can be contacted at rhodrilw@aol.com
We will of course, if possible, continue to support you in future. Next year has already been pencilled in with the Ritz Club and Fast Company.
