Dear Friends of Burnham Hospital,
Well 2022 is nearly at an end where did that go?
We have our last coffee morning of 2022 on Saturday 17th December our sincere thanks to the Methodist Church for allowing us to have the venue again for 2023, our first one is January 21st.
It’s always a happy gathering and I want to extend my sincere thanks not only to those that regularly attend to support us but also to the regular volunteers that help run it, without them we would not be as successful as we are.
I would also like to give my thanks to the Baptist Church who have afforded us their venue to hold a few social afternoons, making crafty cards and having small table top sales these have also been a great success. Here's hoping we get invited back in 2023?
There is always a lot of work going on in the background and one great piece of news is that finally we are going to be funding a new roof for the conservatory in the hospital which will make it a much more ‘user friendly’ area for patients and staff to enjoy.
Work has already begun with a completion date of spring next year so watch this space for the launch of the new build. It is only with your help and donations that make it possible for us to afford this type of project, so again I thank you all.
I have ladies that knit, craft and sew. They are a very talented group and I send out sincere thanks for all of their products they have donated throughout the year.
As you are aware, this year we celebrated the hospitals 100th year, as we move forward I wonder what the 101st year will bring. All of the staff at the hospital have been up against another very challenging year but I am always amazed at their dedication, so it is always great to help them whenever we can, so your support and donations are invaluable.
So here we go with my begging bowl ( I can always collect so just contact me )
Can I please ask you to remember to re-new your membership and if you can enrol some new members that would be great.
For our Raffles and Tombola’s we always need unwanted gifts, chocolates, sweets, bottles of alcohol and non alcoholic drinks. (Please don’t bring alcohol to the church I will collect)
For my crafty ladies we need wool and quality clean material.
Paperback books and Jigsaws.
Jewellery, Handbags and Cosmetics
Quality Bric-a-Brac and unwanted gifts for our table top sales
Well it only goes for me and my committee to wish you a Very Festive Season and all good wishes for a healthy and happy 2023.
Kindest Regards
Ceri
