My last Engagement as the Outgoing Chairman of the Friends

A few years ago, I was asked by Hugh Mackay, (at the time the Rotary Secretary) if I would like to join the Rotary Breakfast Meetings and forge a link between Rotary and the Friends.

This has proved very successful, and I do hope that as both Terry Spragg and I step down it will survive.

I was invited to go and meet Terry to be presented with a cheque (see picture). Four local charities have benefited from donations from Burnham Rotary Club.

‘Help the Child’, the Friends of Burnham War Memorial Hospital, the Children’s Hospice South West based at Charlton Farm and the Burnham and Highbridge Foodbank will each receive £500.

On behalf of the Friends of the Hospital I would like to thank Rotary for their help in the past and for the £500 cheque.
